Scarlett English is a freelance fashion stylist assistant from London, current clients including Women’s Health magazine, Prima magazine, Good Housekeeping magazine, LK Bennett, Debenhams and Bella Freud. She has recently interned and assisted fashion assistants within a range of leading fashion publications including Elle magazine, Harper’s Bazaar magazine and Red magazine.
Scarlett graduated in Summer 2018 with a first class honours degree in Fashion Promotion and Communication, with an overall grade of 92% in her final year. Within her final year of study Scarlett created Mahala magazine, a publication that focused on the UKs growing Muslim population. Throughout the magazine Scarlett conducted all styling, creative direction, retouching and graphic design, as well as a large portion of studio and location photography. The magazine collaborated with brands such as Bella Freud and Modessa, as well as multiple PR agencies. The magazine was shown as London Fashion Week and recognised by Graduate Fashion Week, shortlisted for two awards.
Throughout university Scarlett interned for the Bella Freud design team, helping the design of collections including the Bella Freud X J Brand collaboration. Further she interned for the Lobby London where she worked across London Fashion Week.
Before university Scarlett moved to Egypt aged eighteen to pursue a role assisting within video advertising for Frame X Productions, all content was on a freelance basis, assisting Tudor Pearce. Scarlett helped to create promotional video for leading hoteliers including The Four Seasons, The Rixos and Sentido resorts.
Scarlett is previous Team GB in the sport of judo, making the England squad aged thirteen and retiring from injury at sixteen. She still continues to coach a team at competition level.
